Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial operations of our organization. Collaborating closely with the Controller and other finance team members, you will contribute to maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Senior Accountant Job Responsibilities:

• Develops financial planning and budgeting with National Controller.
• Prepare financial statements to summarize and forecast the company’s financial status.
• Manages grants reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
• Produces and manages balance sheets and analyzes future earnings and expenses.
• Assists with management of accounting, auditing, and budgeting within the organization.
• Ensures compliance with and prepares reports according to applicable government regulations.
• Delegates accounting tasks to accounting staff as needed.
• Coordinates with and prepares reports for National Controller and upper management.
• Develop a team environment for finance staff.

 

Senior Accountant Qualifications/Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly skilled in math, accounting, and financial processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented and highly organized
• Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
• Excellent critical thinking skills
• Solid understanding of GAAP and applicable regulations

 

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• At least 7 years’ experience in accounting
• CPA or CMA preferred
• NetSuite is a must****
