July 10, 2018 to July 12, 2018 12:00 AM
You can make a difference – with your presence – when you attend NMSDC’s annual National Minority Business Program Managers’ Seminar July 9-11 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
NMSDC’s decision to hold the Seminar in Puerto Rico reinforces our concern and desire to support our friends and colleagues in the island’s recovery from overwhelming natural disaster. The Seminar’s purpose is unchanged. It will engage supplier diversity professionals from national corporate member companies with essential information, discussion and tools that address the latest trends, challenges and best practices in minority supplier development.
The National Minority Business Program Managers’ Seminar is designed to guide program managers for our corporate members in establishing key strategies that align with overall business goals and objectives. If you are a new member, the Seminar can make the learning curve faster and more productive. If you are a past participant, you know the value the Seminar provides in keeping you and your program up-to-date and operating at peak efficiency.
The Seminar’s program will be interactive. It encompasses the key elements of supplier diversity, keeping program managers current on minority supplier development issues that affect their responsibilities and their corporations. Hands-on exercises will put theory into practice – reinforcing your understanding of supplier diversity processes, helping you facilitate minority supplier development processes, and meaningfully impacting supplier development for Asian, Black, Hispanic and Native American businesses.
We at NMSDC hope you will join us not only for the Seminar in Puerto Rico but for the rare opportunity to “pay it forward.” By attending, you will be supporting the island’s resilience and recovery. Not only will hotel accommodations – at the InterContinental San Juan – be significantly more cost-effective for everyone who attends, our presence there will reaffirm the restoration of the Puerto Rican economy and everyday life, while bringing attention to ongoing relief efforts. NMSDC is exploring the possibility of including a public service project in San Juan, as a part of the Seminar.
NMSDC leadership team members, corporate members and invited thought leaders in minority supplier development will be featured in this National Minority Business Program Managers’ Seminar, which starts at 12 PM (EDT) on July 9 and ends at 6 PM (EDT) on July 11.
Attendance at this year’s Seminar in Puerto Rico is free for each NMSDC program manager.
