During the 1980’s, Chris Gardner struggled with homelessness while raising a toddler son – a gripping story told through his autobiography, “The Pursuit of Happyness,” which became a successful movie where he was portrayed by actor Will Smith. In 2007, Will Smith was nominated for an academy award as best actor for his portrayal as Chris Gardner. Through perseverance, he became a stockbroker, eventually founding his own brokerage firm in 1987.
