Alfred A. Edmond Jr. is SVP/Executive Editor-at-Large of black enterprise, responsible for providing brand, marketing and content leadership as a member of the multimedia company’s senior management team. Prior to his current position, Edmond was SVP/Chief Content Officer, responsible for overseeing all of the media platforms of Black Enterprise across events, video, digital/website, social media, print and other content distribution properties. From 2008 through 2010, Edmond was SVP/Editor-in-Chief of BlackEnterprise.com, helping to lead the transition from single-magazine publisher to digital-first media company. From 1995 through 2008, Edmond was chief editor of Black Enterprise magazine.

Edmond currently serves as writer, co-producer and host of the Your Money, Your Life podcast for Black Enterprise. An award-winning multi-media journalist and widely recognized expert on business and economic trends, entrepreneurship, personal finance, leadership development and healthy relationships, Edmond is an accomplished public speaker, moderator and live-event interviewer. He appears regularly as a guest expert/commentator on national television, radio and podcasts.

Together with his wife and business partner Zara D. Green, Edmond leads A2Z Personal Growth Enterprises, the parent company of Grown Zone Relationship Education at GrownZone.com. Edmond and Green are co-authors of the book Loving In The Grown Zone: A No-Nonsense Guide to Making Healthy Decisions in the Quest for Loving, Romantic Relationships of Honor, Esteem and Respect (Balboa Press).

A trusted mentor, advisor and confidante to dozens of accomplished entrepreneurs, professionals and leaders, Edmond serves as Entrepreneur In Residence at 3rd Space, a boutique co-working space in Newark, N.J., where he teaches his monthly Destination Success MasterClass (GrownZone.com/SuccessSeries/) and interviews prominent entrepreneurs and founders via the “Successpert Conversations with Alfred Edmond Jr.” live-event series.

Edmond is also co-host, with Girlfriends Pray Founder Dee C. Marshall, of B. Lifted Up!, a nationally syndicated, faith-based radio program focused on encouraging listeners to commit to smart financial choices and the creation of generational wealth.

A highly respected social media enthusiast, Edmond is known as “The Successpert” and enjoys a large, active and influential network across several social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIN. He is regularly included on lists ranking the most influential small business experts on Twitter.

Edmond pursues and promotes health and fitness as foundational to business, financial and life success. A natural bodybuilder, he competes as a member of the Organization of Competition Bodies (OCB) and the Drug Free Athletes Coalition (DFAC), earning his OCB Masters Bodybuilding 40+ Pro Card in 2019. Edmond was a member of Team USA at the 2017 and 2018 DFAC World Finals in the amateur bodybuilders 50-plus Masters class.

A graduate of Rutgers University, Edmond is a life member of the Rutgers Alumni Association, a life and founding member of the Rutgers African American Alumni Alliance (RAAA), a 2010 inductee into the Rutgers Hall of Distinguished Alumni and a 2007 inductee into the RAAA Hall of Fame.
