MBE Search
As part of the transformation journey for the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), we have rethought and revamped the way members and minority business enterprises (MBEs) search for and connect with other MBEs. Our new MBE Search tool includes new features, AI-assisted search, relevancy ranking, and more.

Enhancements to MBE Profiles and MBE Search
Stage 1: Effective Now
- New AI-integrated search.
- Improved keyword matching.
- Results returned by relevance, with MBE profiles most closely matching search criteria appearing first.
- Visibility to MBEs, even when certification has expired.
- Expanded export and email capabilities for corporations.
- More relevant details included in profiles and search criteria.
Stage 2: Effective Later This Year
NMSDC is transitioning to new certification technology and a Hybrid Certification Process.* That means that as each regional council deploys the new technology and process, MBEs in those regions will have access to additional fields and functionality to update their business profiles. See a list of the new profile features below:
- Add a capability statement.
- Add an introduction video.
- Add a logo.
- Add info on strategic alliances and key business relationships.
- Added UNSPSC codes.
- Self-service profile updates.
Updating Your MBE Profile
- MBEs should ensure their contact information and business description are up to date and seek to make their profile “discoverable”.
- Once a regional council migrates to the new hybrid certification process and technology, MBEs will be able to update their profile themselves in The NMSDC Hub. Until then the process requires that the MBE submit updates via their renewal application or contact their regional council to request an update be made now.

Frequently Asked Questions
Based on user inquiries, we have compiled the most frequently asked questions to help you make the most of the new MBE Search.
- NMSDC Members – each corporate coordinator was invited to set up their credentials for MBE Search. Once their account has been established, they can set up additional users at their company.
- MBEs – the primary owner and primary contact was invited to set up their credentials for MBE Search. No additional users can be set up.
- Please be sure to check your SPAM/junk folders as system generated emails can often end up in one of these folders.
- If you still cannot locate the log in instructions, go to The NMSDC Hub and use the ‘Forgot Password’ link.
- If neither of the options above work, please email us at thehubsupport@nmsdc.org.
- For NMSDC members, please be sure to check with the corporate coordinator for your company to make sure they have set you up in the system.
With The NMSDC Hub and the new MBE search in place, NMSDC Central will be sunset on April 1, 2024.
