Globally, natural disasters are increasing in frequency and intensity. However, worldwide, billions of people live in substandard housing that are threatened by those disasters. Making housing safe and resilient to disasters would help protect lives, and livelihoods, and would build sustainable communities. Lives could be saved and billions of dollars in property damage could be averted by improving building methods, especially for the poor and all too often overlooked communities.
CelBlox® is a user-friendly, sustainable building material that eliminates the need to rebuild, or repeatedly rebuild in areas hard hit by climate disasters. CelBlox are used to form the outside walls of a building. They are highly insulated, super strong, and nonflammable. CelBlox creates beautiful buildings that the planet needs by reducing greenhouse emissions and by standing firm against climate disasters.
Muñoz-Prior’s milestone for the Nasdaq Center’s program was to “Develop a business expansion plan roadmap to inform her company’s fundraising strategy.” As a result of achieving her milestone, Muñoz-Prior can now pursue funding to scale her business so that CelBlox LLC can help build communities that are climate resilient, good for the environment, and beneficial to their inhabitants.
