As director, Global Sourcing and Supplier Relations, Diane Lin is responsible for ensuring Starbucks global supply base embodies the company’s commitment to not only supply chain excellence but also social and community impact (ethical sourcing, environmental protection, and supplier diversity). She joined Starbucks in 2001 and has over 29 years of experience in multiple leadership roles in sourcing, logistics, finance, and merchandising.

Under Diane’s leadership, Starbucks has purchased over $5.6B in goods and services from diverse-owned suppliers. She is amplifying Starbucks values beyond its walls by influencing suppliers to embrace social impact. Prior to joining Starbucks, Diane held various roles in grocery retail and distribution industries. She received a B.S. from Indiana University and an MBA from Seattle University.

Diane has served on the Board of Directors for Northwest Mountain Minority Supplier Development Council (NWMTNMSDC) since 2010, serving as its Chairperson and Vice-Chair. She also is a member of the Supplier Diversity Advisory Committee (SDAC) for the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC). Starbucks has received several national and regional awards (2015 Gazelle Award from NMSDC, 2011 and 2017 Corporation of the Year from NWMTNMSDC). Diane has received several national and regional awards (2014 Catalyst Award from NMSDC, 2014 and 2017 Advocate of the Year and 2017 Presidents Award from NWMTNMSDC).
