Michael Bracey is the Team Manager of the Procurement Diversity Group of Honda of America Mfg. Inc. He is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic supplier initiatives that ensure the stabilization and growth of Honda’s diverse supply base. Michael’s primary focus is developing the strategic vison for Procurement Diversity, creating “One Voice” for supplier diversity throughout Honda.

Bracey started his career with Honda in 1990 in Honda of America’s parts ordering group. He worked in new model development for Civic automobiles before moving in to the Stamping procurement team.

He has seven years of work experience abroad with Honda Motor Japan in global purchasing strategy and global cost project management. His main focus in Japan was developing long-term global sourcing strategies and managing cost for global developed models. On return from Japan he was named manager of the power-train group with responsibility for over 3 billion in spend. He also worked in Honda South Carolina supporting development of a purchasing planning group before joining the procurement diversity team in 2014.

Bracey graduated from Florida A&M University’s School of Business and Industry. In the community, Bracey is a supporter of the Inter-Alumni Council and a member of Florida A&M Alumni.

He resides in Dublin, Ohio and is married with 2 step-children.
