NMSDC and the Latino Business Action Network (LBAN) recently signed a strategic partnership agreement aimed at increasing the growth of Latino and Hispanic businesses. LBAN is a dynamic nonprofit based in Silicon Valley focused on strengthening the U.S. economy by creating greater opportunities for Latino entrepreneurs across the country.
As part of this agreement NMSDC and LBAN will partner in the following activities aimed at accelerating the growth of Latino and Hispanic-owned businesses:
- Advocate for common economic interests of LBAN and NMSDC members to address and promote governmental policies related to business and economic growth.
- Collaborate to promote MBEs and corporate partners both domestically and internationally by fostering innovative approaches that address business growth in the global marketplace as a united front.
- Grow NMSDC-certified MBEs and LBAN members to create and grow intergenerational wealth in underserved communities.
- Facilitate joint events, programs, seminars, workshops, meetings, and discussions to create opportunities for commerce-driven activity.
- Engage the diverse memberships of both organizations, while opening doors with both public and private companies and governmental institutions.
- Share the best practices, knowledge, and experiences necessary to advance each organization’s mission and vision and help achieve the two organization’s shared objectives amongst respective members, clients, program participants, key stakeholders, and other strategic partners affiliated with the coalition.
This partnership agreement reflects NMSDC’s continued dedication to building the diverse coalition of minority business organizations needed to accelerate MBE growth to create a stronger, more resilient U.S. economy and end the racial wealth gap.
“In a time of unprecedented legal challenges to business diversity, a thriving Hispanic and Latino business community is more important than ever to creating a more united and prosperous future for not only minority-owned businesses but for the entire nation,” said NMSDC CEO and President Ying McGuire. “I cannot wait to see the innovation and accelerated minority business growth that will result from this partnership with LBAN,” she added.
