Sundari Pai Luts is currently – Manager, Supplier Diversity at Bristol Myers Squibb and leads all strategic communications, supports development and execution of the corporate wide supplier diversity strategy, program, policies and procedures that ensure alignment with corporate diversity & Inclusion strategy. She also adds to the ongoing efforts of implementation, developing and supporting procurement level execution related to Supplier Diversity at Bristol Myers Squibb.
Sundari is an active supporter of the various people and business employee resource groups (PBRG) within the organization and currently sits on the leadership team of Differently Abled Workforce Network (DAWN) as a Marketplace co-lead. Sundari has over 10 years of experience in Public Relations, Marketing, Strategic Communications and Supplier Diversity, working in both the commercial and government sectors. An engineer and ex-journalist by background, Sundari has previously worked for minority, women-owned as well as small businesses where she managed their Supplier Diversity program and led strategic communications, marketing strategies and integrated marketing campaign platforms that supported the businesses.
In these roles, she was responsible for ensuring that equal opportunities were provided to certified suppliers via the supply chain, spearheading client, supplier and advocacy-partner relationships, and mentoring programs. Sundari has a passion for supplier diversity and cultivates this through her engagement with various minority business councils, State offices, chambers of commerce and other institutions, including Disability:IN, Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC); WeConnect International; Women President’s Education Organization (WPEO), National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), NY&NJ Minority Supplier Development Council.
She has previously participated with WEConnect International in its PR & Communications and WBE Development committees. Sundari is also a past board of directors member of US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce (USPAACC) NorthEast chapter and has also worked on various committees at the NY&NJ Minority Supplier Development Council (The Council), working on initiatives to expand business opportunities, provided counsel and program recommendations for minority-owned businesses, and connecting them to buyers in the public and private sectors.
