Dr. William Kapfer is Global Head of Supplier Diversity at JPMorgan Chase. He is responsible for leading the firm’s strategy to include diverse-owned businesses in the company’s supply chain, mirroring their customer demographics and fostering economic growth in the communities they serve.

In 2019, JPMorgan Chase celebrated the 25th anniversary of its Global Supplier Diversity program and reached $2.5B in spend with diverse suppliers.

Under William’s leadership, JPMorgan Chase was inducted into the Billion Dollar Roundtable, making the firm the 28th BDR member since its inception, and one of only two financial services firms to be inducted. The firm was also named “1st place Best-of-the-Best” by the National Business Inclusion Consortium (NBIC).

Prior to joining the firm, William spent over 20 years in media and marketing positions with both mainstream and diverse-market segments; including strategic roles at American Express Publishing, Hearst and Condé Nast.

William currently serves on the boards of several diverse business advocacy organizations, including the National Minority Supplier Development Council and The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.
