Regarding the Recent Trump Administration Executive Order on Merit-Based Opportunity
NMSDC is evaluating the recent executive order issued by the Trump Administration, Ending Illegal Discrimination and Restoring Merit-Based Opportunity. While the stated purpose of the executive order is to promote equal opportunity for all businesses, we have concerns that several provisions of this order could hinder the very groups it seeks to empower. Rather than expanding access to opportunities for underrepresented business owners, several measures risk having the opposite effect.
