The Container Store will host its inaugural Diverse Supplier Summit & Expo on Monday, June 5. The Diverse Supplier Summit is a key component of its supplier diversity program as it gives small and certified diverse-owned businesses an opportunity to showcase their product and service offerings.
The Container Store is extending this exclusive invitation to businesses certified through NMSDC. This opportunity is available to certified companies that meet the following criteria.
- Must hold a current small business or diverse-owned certification(s) from one of the following entitites:
- U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA)
- National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC)
- Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC)
- Disability:In
- National Veteran-Owned Business Association (NaVOBA)
- U.S. Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce (USPAACC)
- National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC)
- Other federal, regional, and state certifying agencies.
- Must offer a product, service, or solution in at least one of the following categories:
- Bath – countertop collections, candles, diffusers, and bath consumables (lotions/soaps/etc).
- Closet and Laundry – jewelry and accessory storage, decorative closet bins and boxes (artisan), shoe storage, and boutique laundry consumables.
- Gift Packaging – party supplies and tableware (disposable, reusable, and/or sustainable).
- Kitchen – glass food storage, coffee and tea items, and freezer solutions.
- Office – cool multifunctional tech items, modern desktop items, task lamps, label makers and machines, desk chairs and desks, and communication boards (functional but decorative).
- Storage – decorative and utilitarian storage, toy storage, baby blankets, kids’ baskets, and bins.
- Towers – games (travel size), giftable, and seasonal products (e.g. themed items and party supplies).
- Travel – Travel essentials (bag tags, pillows, blankets, eye masks), and travel pouches.
Interested businesses must complete the registration form by May 5. Businesses selected to attend will be notified by May 8 and must confirm attendance no later than May 12.
