NMSDC Celebrates the Life and Legacy of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

On Monday, January 17, 2022, we celebrate the life and legacy of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., a fearless civil rights leader that advocated for people of color to be treated equally. We reflect on his courage and determination to bring a nation together in 1963 to speak out against adversity at the Lincoln Monument in Washington, D.C.

NMSDC is celebrating 50 years of advocating for the inclusion of minority businesses, and we stand strong in our mission – to serve as a growth engine for NMSDC certified minority businesses and enable our members to advance economic equity. Dr. King’s legacy provides a staple model for how we combat inequality today. We will not be silent. We believe every business deserves an unbiased chance. Ensuring representation and economic equity for minority-owned businesses (MBE) of all sizes is at the heart of everything we do.

We will amplify our voice by leveraging our public, private, and NGO partnerships, and collaborating with our 23 regional affiliates to drive socioeconomic equity, create generational wealth in communities of color, and help close the racial wealth gap.

In observance of Martin Luther King Day, the NMSDC National office will be closed on Monday, January 17, 2022.
Normal business hours will resume on, Tuesday, January 18, 2022, 9:00 am (EST).
