Constance Jones, National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) senior director of Field Services was recently named one of Houston Business Journal’s 2022 Women Who Mean Business in the arts and nonprofits category. Jones is one of 105 women receiving the designation this year. The award recognizes women in leadership roles who have demonstrated excellence in their careers and community.
Jones and the rest of the honorees will be recognized in a special section of the Houston Business Journal’s Oct. 21 weekly edition and at an in-person awards luncheon on October 20 at the Marriott Marquis Houston.
“It is such an honor to be a part of such an amazing group of women leaders and I want to thank Houston Business Journal for not only giving me this opportunity but raising the profile of the work I do to help grow minority owned businesses,” said Jones.
Jones has been active in business diversity for over 20 years, having spent most of her career working to help minority owned businesses gain access and opportunities to grow their business and build the wealth needed to eliminate the racial wealth gap.
“I am so excited to see Constance recognized for her contributions to NMSDC. Her work is vital to ensuring minority business enterprises (MBEs) have access to the resources necessary to grow and build the connections that will help reach NMSDC’s aspirational goal of $1 trillion in annual revenue for certified MBEs, said NMSDC CEO and president,” Ying McGuire.
